Model Railroad Equipment

Here's a few samples of the railroad models I've built & customized. Most are custom paint jobs on otherwise "stock" models, while others feature more customization which ranges from minor but signature add-ons, to extensive modification and scratch building. Others have built and sold "rail cams" over the years, but to my knowledge, I'm the first to completely hide the camera (as of 2006)- and in a narrow road-switcher body no less... CLICK THE PIC FOR MORE INFO

Kitbashed Chessie System Canstock Car:

A rare signature piece of the B&O... I kitbashed this in 2004, using an Athearn PS5344 boxcar kit. In a nutshell, essentially I cut the sides into thirds and swapped the door sections to an offset. It was of course a little more involved than that (I had to scratchbuild a couple new side ribs at the splices, etc) but you get the idea. The PS5344 is a very good, extremely close base to the second batch of Canstocks ordered by the B&O. The decals are from Herald King.
